Bells ring for Nelson

Bell ringers in Dartford
joined the rest of the world to celebrate Nelson's victory at Trafalgar.
Participants
at Holy Trinity Church joined the sound of chiming bells across the globe to
mark the battle's 200th anniversary.
Church
bells were used in 1805 to ring out the news of the victory.
This
time they were sounded throughout the Trafalgar weekend, starting in New
Zealand and ending at the Falkland Islands.
The
celebrations were organised by the Nelson Commemorations Committee in
conjunction with the Central Council of Church Bell Ringers.
